We may create a commercial profile based on your interests, but no automated decisions will be made.

3. General terms

These are the general conditions for hiring bicycles from Echelon Cycling Hub S.L. However, the full Terms & Conditions of Bicycle Hire detailed below will prevail.
By reserving a bike—either online, by telephone, email, or in person at our shop—you automatically accept all hire terms, even without a signed contract. A confirmed reservation constitutes agreement with our Terms & Conditions.

Key points:
  • No insurance is included with the bike hire. You are fully liable for significant (major) damage, theft or non-return.
  • Optional “echelon Protect+” damage coverage is available (see main body).
  • Helmets are free on request.
  • Every bike includes a spare tube, levers, multitool, and pump. If not returned, a fee of €20/item or the replacement value will be charged.
  • Bikes are serviced by professional mechanics and provided in excellent working condition.
  • Emergency shuttle services may be provided—free if due to mechanical fault counted on a side of Echelon Cycling Hub, otherwise chargeable individually in each situation.
  • Theft or significant (major) damage will be charged at retail value.
  • A 100% deposit is required at booking; cancellation fees apply.
  • Force majeure (natural disasters, etc.) may lead to rescheduling, not refunds.
  • All riders accept liability for health risks, injuries, or equipment damage during guided rides or camps.
  • High-value bikes may include Apple Find My tracking via 4iiii power meters—tampering will incur penalties.
4. Terms & Conditions of Bicycle hire
1. General Conditions
1.1 Echelon Cycling Hub S.L. provides premium bikes for hire and expects respectful, responsible use.
1.2 Bike hire is confirmed by:
  • Completion of a Hire Agreement Form
  • Acceptance of terms during online booking.
Credit card details may be taken as a security hold. Upon acceptance of these Terms, a binding contract is formed.
1.3 Bookings are subject to availability. Group bookings imply authority from the person making the reservation.
1.4 Hire begins at collection/delivery and ends upon bike return to our shop.
2. Hirer’s Responsibilities
2.1 You are responsible for being fit to cycle. Echelon Cycling Hub S.L. accepts no responsibility for injury, illness, or inability to complete the hire.
2.2 Cycling involves risk. You hire and ride at your own risk. Helmets are mandatory in Spain.
2.3 You must ride responsibly and indemnify Echelon Cycling Hub S.L. against any damage or claims.
2.4 Suitable insurance is your responsibility. Optional “echelon Protect+” is available (see 2.10–2.11).
2.5 You are liable for all hired equipment, and must protect it from damage or theft.
2.6 Damage from accidents or neglect is the customer’s responsibility unless covered under “echelon Protect+.”
2.7 Any loss, theft, or damage must be reported immediately. Repair/replacement costs will be charged accordingly.
2.8 Resale, pledging, or unauthorized transfer of the bike is strictly prohibited.
2.9 Customers are responsible for bike setup and maintenance during the hire period.
2.10 “Echelon Protect+” is an optional paid service. Multiple packages are available.
2.11 Compensation calculation under echelon Protect+ service:
Total Compensation = Repair Cost – Coverage Value
(Example: €1000.00 repair – €350.00 coverage = €650.00 owed)
  • As of 01.09.2025, packages include:
    • 02 | Core: €350
    • 01 | Ultra: €1,000
    • 00 | Zenith: €2,500 + roadside assistance
2.12–2.18 Modifications to bike components:
  • Significant modifications require prior approval.
  • Unauthorized modifications that damage or devalue the bike are chargeable.
  • Component value is based on MSRP/PVP + labor for repairs.
  • Tampering may result in full replacement costs.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Deposits:
  • 100% deposit due upon booking.
  • Cancellations:
    • 4 weeks before: 100% refund
    • 2–4 weeks: 50% refund
    • < 1 week: No refund
3.2 Balance is due at bike pickup or delivery.
3.3 Late returns charged at 2× daily rate per day.
3.4 A credit card deposit may be required as a hold during the rental.
3.5 Damaged or unreturned bikes will be charged at full repair or replacement value.
3.6 Normal wear and tear is allowed.
4. Personal Safety
4.1 Cycling involves personal risk. Ride responsibly.
4.2 Injuries may result from weather, speed, collisions, or rider error.
4.3 Novice cyclists should ride under supervision.
4.4 No cycling under influence of alcohol, drugs, or extreme fatigue.
5. Liability
5.1 Echelon Cycling Hub S.L. is not liable for personal injury, loss, or death.
5.2 Not liable for loss caused by:
• Your own actions
• Third parties
• Unpredictable events (weather, strikes, etc.)
• Indirect or consequential loss
5.3 Liability is limited to the cost of your hire.
5.4 Force Majeure: No refunds, but rescheduling is possible.
6. General Legal Conditions
6.1 This agreement supersedes all prior ones and may only be varied in writing.
6.2 All notices must be in writing.
6.3 Delay or failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
6.4 If a clause is found unenforceable, the rest of the terms still apply.
6.5 No third party has rights under these terms.
6.6 These terms are governed by Spanish law, with jurisdiction in Illes Balears.
5. echelon Protect+ – Damage Coverage Policy
General Terms
The echelon Protect+ service is a special optional coverage offered by Echelon Cycling Hub S.L. as part of our full Terms & Conditions of Bicycle Hire.
This service provides partial financial protection against damage to parts, frames, and accessories of hired bicycles.

Important Notes:
  • echelon Protect+ covers only physical damage to hired bikes (parts, frames, accessories). It does not cover personal injury, life, or health insurance for customers.
  • Bicycles are not insured for theft or loss. The renter remains fully responsible for theft or failure to return the bike.
  • The service fee must be paid in full at the time of booking (100% of the package fee plus the required booking deposit).
  • Once paid, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions of echelon Protect+.
Compensation Calculation
In the event of damage, compensation owed by the renter is calculated as:
Total Compensation = Repair or Replacement Costs – echelon Protect+ Coverage Limit

Example:
Repair cost for damaged bike: €1000.00
Coverage limit (02 | Core package): €350.00
Total amount owed by renter: €650.00
Roadside Assistance for 00 | Zenith Package
For customers subscribed to the 00 | Zenith package, free technical roadside assistance is provided throughout the island of Mallorca.*
*We endeavor to respond promptly and efficiently; however, in some remote areas, assistance may take several hours to arrive. We appreciate your understanding and strive to minimize any delays.
6. Cancellations, Refunds & Returns
1. Cancellation Policy – 1-Day Tours and Custom Guided Rides
  • Free Cancellation:
    • Cancellations made more than 120 hours (5 days) before the scheduled tour or guided ride are free of charge.
  • 30% Cancellation Fee:
    • For cancellations made between 72 and 120 hours (3–5 days) prior to the scheduled start time, a 30% cancellation fee will apply.
  • 50% Cancellation Fee:
    • For cancellations made less than 72 hours (3 days) in advance, a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
  • 100% Cancellation Fee:
    • For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, or in the event of a no-show, the total amount will be charged (no refund).
Note: The cancellation fee only applies to the price of the guided ride or tour. It does not include charges for Echelon Protect+, delivery, or other added services. Rentals included in the package will be subject to the general rental cancellation terms. Once we receive any form of confirmation for a tour or guided ride booking, the cancellation fee policy becomes enforceable.
2. Cancellation Policy – Grand Tours and Custom Grand Tours
Due to the complexity and logistics involved in Grand Tours and Custom Grand Tours, 100% of the amount paid is non-refundable once payment has been received.
3. Refunds of Rental Deposits
Deposits are collected via online payment when booking rental bikes through the website, by phone, or by email. The deposit usually corresponds to 100% of the reservation value (this may vary depending on the case).
Deposit Refund Conditions:
  • Up to 4 weeks before the hire date: 100% refund
  • Up to 3 weeks before the hire date: 50% refund
  • Up to 7 days before the hire date: No refund
Deposits may be applied to a future rental period within the same calendar year, subject to prior agreement with Echelon Cycling Hub S.L. You must contact us to confirm new dates and conditions.
If cancellation occurs within 72 hours of the rental start or the client fails to show up, the entire rental fee is due and non-refundable.
4. Online Shop – Returns & Refunds (Echelon Boutique)
If you're not satisfied with a product you've purchased online, you have 10 calendar days from the delivery date to request a return.
Conditions for return:
  • Items must be unused, unwashed, and in brand-new condition, with all original tags and packaging intact.
  • Items must be carefully packaged for return to prevent damage in transit.
  • Returns must be communicated in advance by email or other official channel.
  • If you have received a defective or faulty item, please contact us immediately. If confirmed, we will process the return and will issue a refund or replacement.
  • Shipping costs for returns of non-defective products are the responsibility of the customer.
7. Payments and Shipping Policy
Payments
All prices shown on our website are in Euros (€) and include Value Added Tax (IVA) as required by Spanish and European Union regulations.
We use Stripe and Paypal as our secure payment gateway, accepting the most common debit and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) as well as secure bank transfer options.
Payments are processed through secure SSL encryption in accordance with PCI DSS standards. Your card data is never stored by Echelon Cycling Hub S.L.

Shipping
We ship our products worldwide using trusted carriers such as Correos, UPS, DHL, SEUR, or other reliable logistics providers.
  • Shipping costs are not included in the product price and are calculated individually based on your delivery address, package weight, and size.
  • Shipping fees will be clearly displayed before finalizing your order.
  • Delivery times vary depending on destination and selected shipping option.
  • Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number by email.
Please note:
  • International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs clearance fees, which are the responsibility of the customer.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by customs or force majeure.
